This is a fun-filled session where beginners will learn how to use the henna (Mehndi) cone applicator to apply simple henna designs on themselves and others. It is the kind of art form that encourages you to let your creativity run wild. This popular art is now seen at summer festivals, carnivals, parties and weddings, and you, too, can enjoy doing henna on yourself or friends. This session also covers a brief history and uses of henna, and its common misconceptions in the western world.

Class description:
This will be a learning and practice session where the participant will use a workshop hennna cone applicator to learn how to hold the cone, squeeze the henna out and create a design with it - All At The Same Time... You will start with the learning process on paper until you have grasped the ability to use the henna cone. By the end of the class you will have learned to paint very simple henna designs.
In this session we will also briefly explore the history of henna and its vast cultural traditions, as well as many of its common misconceptions in North America.
Important: This is not a design class, and is geared only toward the novice or beginner who is interested in learning to apply with a henna cone applicator.
